New 'Wreck-it Ralph' Trailer Has Us Rooting For The Bad Guys

A new trailer for "[url="http://moviesblog.mtv.com/tag/wreck-it-ralph/"]Wreck-It Ralph[/url]" debuted over at [url="http://movies.yahoo.com/family/#wreck"]Yahoo! Movies[/url] today, and it really is a must-watch. It is similar to the first one in that it sets up the bad-guy-wanting-to-be-good premise, along with quick glimpses of secondary characters who will be very familiar to gamers everywhere. The best part about it is seeing more of the video game landscapes and hearing a few funny quips and exchanges between the major players, played by John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer, Jane Lynch, Adam Corolla, Alan Tudyk, Mindy Kaling, Horation Sanz, etc.

We learn that Ralph and his game's "good guy" Fix-it Felix (McBrayer) are good friends and that when Ralph deserts his game he puts its existence in jeopardy - a threat that in this world is referred to as "pulling the plug," so his game's characters set out on a journey to bring Ralph back to his game.







My favorite moments involved Ralph's interactions with characters in the other games, like the ball-busting Captain Calhoun in "Hero's Duty," (aka Halo) who is always harassing her soldiers and calling them all "ladies."

"Fear is a four-letter word, ladies," Calhoun says to her squadron. "You want to go P.P. in your big boy slacks, keep it to yourself."

The other two involve an adorable assault-by-clever-puns in a Candy Land-like game called "Sugar Rush."

"You wouldn't hit a guy with glasses would you?" asks a scared Sugar Rush citizen in front of Ralph, who responds by taking the guy's glasses and hitting him with them. "You hit a guy, with glasses," remarks the affronted character. "That's well-played!"

Finally, in the midst of a bunch of quick cuts to all of the action sequences involved in the story, we hear the "Bad Guy Affirmation" from a bunch of familiar baddies introduced in the [url="http://moviesblog.mtv.com/2012/06/06/wreck-it-ralph-trailer/"]first trailer[/url]: "I'm bad, and that's good. I will never be good, and that's not bad. There's no one I'd rather be than me."

It is almost too cute for words. "Wreck-It Ralph" hits theaters on November 2.
