Nicki Minaj, now fresh off her Mitt Romney voting controversy, is getting read to drop a new single from her Roman Reloaded: Pink Friday LP titled "The Boys."

Minaj made all types of headlines on Monday--only did the YMCMB Barb get all political and throw her support toward President Obama, but she also teased her upcoming The Re-Up single "The Boys" during a Q&A Twitter session with her fans. "Ok hashtag is #TheReUp Single drops this week! Wuddup barbz? Shoot! Q&A time!!!!!!!," Ms. Minaj tweeted on Monday, referencing the re-release of her Roman Reloaded: Pink Friday LP.

The "Beez in the Trap" MC, who first announced the new album last week on the 2012 MTV VMA red carpet, told fans that "The Boys" will be released on iTunes this week and the video down the road. "Could b tmrw, could be Wednesday," she wrote after confirming that a "real pretty" female will be collaborating with her on the track.

Minaj's beloved Barbz poured on the questions, and while the VMA award winning rapstress was careful not to give away too much, she did indulge some requests. After one Nicki diehard asked for a lyric from the new single, the Queens MC obliged. "I just come thru w/the SIX like my name was BLOSSOM :p >," she responded, referencing the popular 1990s sitcom starring Mayim Bialik.

Nick also confirmed that The Re-Up will be packaged as a second disc on the Roman Reloaded re-release, which she has not finished recording yet. Fans will get anywhere between five to eight new songs and at least one of them will feature Lil Wayne.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
