The kiss seen 'round the world apparently has rubbed one person the wrong way. Chris Brown and Rihanna's recent kiss and embrace at the MTV VMAs has apparently annoyed Brown's girlfriend Karrueche Tran.

According to US Weekly Karrueche is "totally pissed off" by the smooch.  "She felt the kiss was a public slap in the face," the source told US, claiming that Brown decided to attend the VMAs last minute without letting his girl know.

We reported earlier that the "Turn Up The Music" singer — who has reportedly become close to Rihanna again three years after pleading guilty to assaulting her on the night before the 2009 Grammy Awards — made eye contact with his ex. She walked over to greet him and they shared a quick embrace. Then, Rih Rih patted Brown's bleach-blond head and walked away.

Last month, Rihanna sat down with Oprah Winfrey's OWN network and opened up about her tumultuous relationship with Chris, saying that he was the "love of my life," but that they are now working to reconcile their friendship and are still "very close." When asked about being romantic with her ex, Rihanna denied the rumors, citing his new relationship with Karrueche. "He's in a relationship of his own. I'm single but we have maintained a very close friendship," she told Oprah. "We've just worked on it little-by-little. And it's not easy."

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
