Wiz Khalifa is pretty excited to have his first baby with fiance Amber Rose, and he's not afraid to show it, especially after revealing the big news last night.

"We found out this summer, and it was more of a celebration than anything," the rapper shared backstage with MTV News correspondent Jim Cantiello after Thursday night's 2012 MTV Video Music Awards. "I did a backflip; she was doing this little dance that we made up."

Rose chimed in: "It's called the monkey butt dance!"

Celebratory gymnastics aside, Khalifa said he doesn't expect that his life will slow down because he's going to be a dad: "I've been pretty focused my entire life, and now that I have a family, I'm just going to keep that focus, but it's going to be a family focus."

Rose added, "He's a rock star, so it's never going to stop."

The two confirmed the news before the show with MTV News' Sway Calloway. "Well, Sway, you know you my brother, man, so we had to do it with you first and we had to do it with the whole world, and just let everybody know that we're expecting a beautiful young baby," Khalifa said, before screaming, "We're having a baby!"

For her part, Rose — who wore a lacey nude and black frock, showing off her defined baby bump — said she's a tired pregnant woman. When she couldn't think of a quick answer about her favorite part of the night's show, she explained, "I'm sorry. My feet hurt, and I'm really tired. It's hard for me to think. I want to go to bed. I'm sorry!"

Khalifa said he was impressed by Frank Ocean's performance. "Frank Ocean killed it," he said.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
