Mike Fisher is a veteran in the world of dance music as both a DJ, Producer and Event Promoter.

As co-founder and resident DJ of “Life”, Fisher has helped to establish one of Washington D.C.’s most esteemed parties, now into its third year. A graduate of the reputable Berklee College of Music, the Boston native started his career working behind the scenes for some of the most influential acts in electronic music.

Fisher’s mixing skills and knack for track selection have secured him gigs across the country alongside some of the major players in today’s underground movement like Jamie Jones, Lee Foss, Lee Burridge, Visionquest and Josh Wink to name a few.

As a producer Mike has released original music on Stranjjur as well as remixes on legendary NYC house label 'Nervous Records' new underground label 'Nurvous' in which he has been featured on the same EP's as Danny Daze, Eats Everything & Maxxi Soundsystem.

As 2012 approaches Mike is definitely someone you want to pay attention to with a slew of collaborations and solo productions in the pipeline.

Gaining recognition through residencies in New York with Verboten and Bespoke, Rami has exploded onto the New York and international stage with pitch perfect, genre-defying sets ..always deep, melodic, funky, and soulful house.

His productions are rapidly gaining the recognition they deserve, with Nightbird Music's release of "Rami Deejay feat. Keely - Burn Burn" lighting up charts all year and making several Top 100 of 2011 lists. With support on his upcoming productions from Mark Knight, David August, Maetrik, Lee Burridge, Richy Ahmed, Roog, Florian Kruse, Robert Owens, Demi (SOS), Omid 16B, Feygin, and Nic Fanciulli, 2012 is quickly shaping up to be a breakout year for Rami.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
      You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention. 
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
