Big Sean is a man of the people. He’s currently at work on his sophomore album and G.O.O.D. Music’s Cruel Summer LP, which debuts in less than two weeks, but in the meantime the Detroit rapper still decided to treat fans to a new mixtape named after his hometown. Download here.

Sean’s Detroit mixtape was teased with a preview clip and a video for "RWT" but the full project finally debuted on Wednesday night (September 5)

“I really don’t feel like I need to do a mixtape because I did three of them already,” Big Sean told MTV News. “But after I came out with my album I always wanted to keep the fans, the believers intrigued and I promised them I’d do another mixtape. With this G.O.O.D. Music album and then my next album coming so soon it really don’t make no sense for me to do a mixtape but we do got the songs already. It’s basically done— we’ve got new photos and new videos that we’re not using for the album so we might as well give fans something for free.”

Download the mixtape then get ready for Sean’s sophomore album, which he’s looking forward to. "We been working hard, everyday for the past 8 months... And I can honestly say that me, my label, my team are more than excited how my new album sounds," he tweeted last week. "It's everything I want it to be n more. A true representation of what I stand for, what I believe in, how I live, great story telling, n great production. I took my time with it and it made all the difference."
