After filming her World Humanitarian Day video at the United Nations in New York on Friday night, Beyonce added some new photos to her Tumblr account (better now than distracting us on Monday morning), sharing intimate snaps of her family, including sister Solange, plus Jay-Z and Blue Ivy.

Bey shared a few shots of herself hanging out with Solange and crew in Texas, riding bicycles, snacking and such. One of those includes a photograph of Jay-Z pushing her on a swing, and then the first shot she's shared of daughter Blue Ivy since her birth. Obviously the photo only shows the back of Blue's head, while Beyonce feeds her, but the 8-month old sports a tiny Watch the Throne tour shirt, because you've always gotta support pops, right?

On Friday night, Bey hit the U.N. to film a special video for "I Am Here," in support of World Humanitarian Day. When Beyoncé took the stage, dressed in a skintight sequined white gown, the screens, which spanned from ceiling to floor, lit up with images of different regions around the world struck by disaster while the faces of humanitarian workers flashed. She belted out her vocals to "I Was Here," while members of the audience sang along, and the moment ended all too quickly, but cameras rolled the entire time, capturing a music video that will premiere on August 19th. When she finished, Beyonce thanked the audience and encouraged them to do their part for World Humanitarian Day. • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
