Spike Lee Hears Mark Twain Storytelling In Mike Tyson's 'Undisputed'

Mike Tyson's one-man show show “Undisputed Truth,” directed by Spike Lee will close curtains for the final time on Sunday night (August 12) after running from August 2 at the Longacre Theatre in New York City. When Spike Lee stopped by our studio this week, he encouraged fans to catch the show before it was too late, noting that the champion boxer has received a standing ovation every night so far.

"It's an amazing show, Mike is up onstage by himself, and [does] great Mark Twain-[type] traditional storytelling about the highs and lows, the triumphs and fails of his life," Lee explained. "He's getting a standing ovation every night, Sunday's the last night, don't sleep."

During the 90-minute show, Tyson speaks openly about his personal and professional life, and the show has been described as a confessional of sorts. Plenty of Tyson's celebrity friends, including Kanye West and 50 Cent have come out to support him during the course of the show.
