Love Hip Hop Atlanta Gets Animated And Spoofed

It was only a matter of time before "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" would be spoofed. Broken Equipment has put together a very funny, animated take on the popular reality show. Try not to laugh as your favorite characters become cartoonish versions of themselves.

Stevie J is a sly, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle while Lil' Scrappy (who once threatened to put the "paws" on Stevie) takes on the traits of mystery solving hound Scooby Doo.

The women aren't spared either. Karlie Redd is a toucan and while Erica looks like a character straight from James Cameron's sci-fi picture Avatar.

This isn't the first comical take on the already-outrageous series. Earlier this week, Chris Brown took to his Instagram and imitated Stevie J. Chris decided to pose for a picture mimicking the producer's infamous toothy smile. Chris’ photo, which bore the grin that many say resembles the facial expressions of a rodent, was captioned “Stevie J face.” Chris’ followers, who were participating in the banter as well, seemed to enjoy the dig, commenting on the photo with remarks like “dying laughing” and “gimme kiss,” another trademark Stevie phrase.

Episode 8 of "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" got rowdy earlier this week and took things to a violent level. Joseline joins Stevie and Mimi during what should be couples therapy and after a few moments, chaos ensues. During the session, Mimi reveals that not only does Stevie want to patch things up with her but they are also currently living together. This shocker causes Joseline to go insane (as apparently Stevie has still been romantically dealing with her) and she lunges on Stevie.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
