'This Is 40' Trailer Warms Hearts, Loses Starfish

[url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/person/156614/personmain.jhtml"]Judd Apatow[/url]'s latest slice-of-Judd-Apatow's-life comedy, "[url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/movie/470385/moviemain.jhtml"]This Is 40[/url]," takes a long hard look at middle-age and asks the question, "What have you been doing in the bathroom for so long?"

The latest trailer for "This Is 40" dropped online today (via [url="http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/this-is-40/trailers/"]Yahoo! Movies[/url]) and packs the signature Apatow mixture of toilet humor and heart.

"This Is 40" continues the story of Pete ([url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/person/191473/personmain.jhtml"]Paul Rudd[/url]) and Debbie (Apatow's real-life wife [url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/person/182685/personmain.jhtml"]Leslie Mann[/url]) from "Knocked Up" as they raise their two girls (Apatow's real-life daughters).

"This Is 40" opens in theaters on December 21.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
      You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention. 
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
