Something has changed with Matthew McConaughey. One second, the guy is starring in every other romantic comedy, and now he's taking on challenging roles in mature films like "Killer Joe," "Magic Mike," and "Mud." What happened to Mr. "All right, all right, all right"?

Anyway, Deadline is reporting that McConaughey has signed up for his next serious role in Martin Scorsese's new film with frequent collaborator Leonardo DiCaprio, "The Wolf of Wall Street." He'll play Mark Hanna, a boss and mentor for DiCaprio's Jordan Belfort, as he climbs his way to the top of the financial world.

Scorsese has been busy filling out his eclectic cast for last few months. DiCaprio was attached from the very start, but recently Jean Dujardin, Jonah Hill, Rob Reiner, and Kyle Chandler have joined the fact-based story of a young, hot shot stockbroker, who gets entangled in drugs and corruption before a disastrous fall.

"The Wolf of Wall Street" will hit theaters sometime next year.
