Along with being named as the face of Alexander Wang's new fall collection, Azealia Banks was recently offered the chance to tour with fellow New York rapper Nicki Minaj. However, due to time conflicts with her current projects, Banks had to regretfully decline the invite and she doesn’t seem happy about it.

“I got invited to tour with Nicki Minaj in Europe but I can’t go because I have to finish my album during that time," tweeted a disappointed Banks. Although the jaunt would've surely gained her a wider fan base, if she's in the middle of recording her debut LP Broke with Expensive Taste, leaving for a UK tour would not be the smartest choice.

Nicki Minaj has already announced that fellow YMCMB artist Tyga and British singer Misha B will be joining her on the upcoming UK tour run.

With “212” already the soundtrack for Wang's Spring 2012 campaign video, Azealia Banks is now featured in a new spot in which she raps "Van Vogue" from her EP 1991. “She exudes a certain rawness that makes her a very unique talent,” Wang gushed to Style.com.

Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
