'Breaking Bad' Season Five Trailer Goes 'Boom'!

"You're a time bomb, tick, ticking away, and I have no intention of being around for the [i]boom[/i]."

These are the ominous words of the always wise Mike Ehrmantraut from the new season of "[url="http://moviesblog.mtv.com/tag/breaking-bad"]Breaking Bad[/url]." The line is the centerpiece of a new trailer (via [url="http://blogs.indiewire.com/theplaylist/theres-a-market-to-be-filled-and-currently-im-the-one-to-fill-it-new-trailer-for-breaking-bad-season-5-20120626"]The Playlist[/url]) that teases the fifth season of the show.

Thankfully, Mike wasn't around for the boom that took out big boss Gus at the end of season four, leaving his allegiances up in the air. From the sound of this trailer, the muscle might be a little too smart to throw his hat in with Heisenberg.

The preview also gives us an idea of what Walt might be up to now that he's "won." He sees the open market in the meth business as an opportunity to step in and take over where Gus left off. He says it himself, "We're done when I say we're done."

      You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention. 
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
