As you might imagine, this post is very NSFW.

Now entering the post-"Transformers" portion of his career, Shia LaBeouf is trying to establish himself as a serious actor. We'll see part of this new LeBeouf when John Hillcoat's "Lawless" opens in August, but the latest and more naked part of that campaign debuted online today.

LaBeouf stars in the latest music video from the Icelandic post-rock group, Sigur Rós, for their song, "Fjögur Píanó," and he is very, very naked.

But incidentally, the nudity is not what has us scratching our heads. It's everything else in the video.

Check out the full video after the jump.

We watched all eight minutes and 32 seconds of this music video from start to finish, and from what we can tell, this kind of looks like a parody of high art. There are a few factor that have led us to this conclusion, something we hope is true.

First of all, the nudity. Let's talk about the nudity. LaBeouf is fully nude in one shot early on in the video. He stands completely naked facing his co-star, who spends most of the video equally undressed. LeBeouf ponies up and goes full-frontal, but not for nearly as long as his female co-star. Being a serious actor is about nudity, not necessarily extended nudity.

After LaBeouf and his co-star wake up, they get naked and after are attacked by hipsters bearing sparkly lollipops. We rest our case.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
