Lost 'Hunger Games' Tributes Resurface In New After Hours

Anyone who's seen or read "[url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/movie/422817/moviemain.jhtml"]The Hunger Games[/url]" knows that about half of the 24 tributes who went to The Hunger Games to represent their districts died in the opening massacre at the Cornucopia. But they all have names and stories just like Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark, and we made it our duty to discover them.

Well, they weren't quite what we expected. We didn't realize Max Greenfield played a tribute from District 43 with a penchant for creating balloon animals. And Jean-Claude Van-Damme was a 12-year-old boy who had to spin kick every 10 minutes or else he'd die. Suddenly we understand why Elizabeth Banks wasn't the biggest fan of this six percent of her cast members.

      You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention. 
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
