There are plenty of reasons to tune in to the MTV Movie Awards this Sunday, but the fun starts way before cameras at the awards show begin rolling.

We like to keep things pretty light-hearted at MTV awards shows, but the laughs are going to be rolling all day thanks to a "Punk'd" marathon starting at 3 p.m. That's going to culminate in a brand new episode airing at 8 p.m. ET/PT that features the likes of Kim Kardashian and Drake being pranked by Ashton Kutcher. And you thought Justin Bieber tricking Taylor Swift was funny.

All during this episode, we'll be cutting over to the MTV Movie Awards red carpet where "The Vampire Diaries" star Kat Graham will be acting as Special Style Correspondent. She'll be helping MTV News' Josh Horowitz, Jim Cantiello and Sway Calloway interview celebs like Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, Leighton Meester, Chris Colfer and Chloë Grace Moretz, and work the backstage area.

And they aren't the only big names that will be there that night. Everyone from "Snow White and the Huntsman" cast Kristen Stewart, Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron to "Magic Mike's" Channing Tatum and Matthew McConaughey will be on hand to dole out awards.

Since this is the MTV Movie Awards, we're making it all about the movies. Emma Watson and Logan Lerman will present the first trailer for "Perks of Being a Wallflower," while Christopher Nolan, Christian Bale, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Gary Oldman will all be on hand to premiere new footage from "The Dark Knight Rises." And keep an eye out for a brand new installment of After House featuring Elizabeth Banks where she spoofs "The Hunger Games."

Also on hand will be Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, Leighton Meester, Ezra Miller, Andrew Garfield, Michael Fassbender, Mila Kunis, Mark Wahlberg and MTV Trailblazer Award recipient Emma Stone. The Movie Awards start this Sunday, June 3, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
