Verboten returns to the Highline Ballroom for a late night of proper techno courtesy of Paul Ritch and Gregor Tresher. Quartz Recordings frontman Paul Ritch has long been a mainstay of such clubs and festivals as Berghain, Cocoon, and Awakenings, known for his quality remixes and epic sets. He's joined by Frankfurt's Gregor Tresher, whose dark and subtle productions can be found on his three influential albums and respected labels like Drumcode, Moon Harbor and his own, Break New Soil. These two, along with longtime Verboten favorites Deepak Sharma (Hidden Recordings) and Michelangelo, should give the Highline's booming sound system a workout. Video by Waking Dream.

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
