Odd Future frontman Tyler, The Creator and melancholy singer Lana Del Rey may be collaborating musically and Twitter seems to be their A&R. Tyler tweeted recently, “Just Found Out Lana Del Ray Wanted To Work With Me. Had No Idea. If Your Reading This Im Down, I Have Pretty Instrumentals.” Over the weekend, the sultry “Video Games” singer finally responded via Twitter, stating, “@fucktyler You're Number 1.”

Tyler has been busying himself as a music video director recently, helming two videos off Odd Future’s new best-selling album, The OF Tape Vol. 2, "Rella" and "NY (Ned Flander)." He shared with MTV on "RapFix Live" that more videos were on the horizon. “"I kinda wanna do 'Analog 2' for sure, but the MellowHype '50' song, I have an idea for that that would be awesome," Tyler said. "That song, just g--damn, that song's crazy."

Del Rey just announced (link to: http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1681469/lana-del-rey-la-new-york-concert-dates.jhtml) a slew of live performances in New York and L.A. during the first week of June at L.A.’s El Rey Theatre and New York’s Irving Plaza. "I'm capping every venue at 900 [capacity], because I don't want to perform for more [people] than that," she said to MTV in February. "So what I want to do is three nights in New York, like at Irving Plaza, and then three nights at the El Rey in L.A. and then, in between, do 15 cities, and cap it at 900 venues. And everybody is onboard, so that's what we're going to do."

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
