On Thursday news broke that the cause of Whitney Houston's sudden death was accidental drowning with cocaine use and heart disease cited as contributing factors. According to the LA County coroner's report, traces of cocaine were found in Houston's system at the time of death and since then Bobby Brown’s sister Leolah Brown has pointed fingers at Ray J for supplying the singer with cocaine. Ray J’s rep has denied the allegations in the press, but it’s not the first time Whitney's close friend/rumored boyfriend has been accused of drug use.

Bobby Brown's Sister Blames Ray J For Whitney Houston's Cocaine Use

Many fans may remember that rapper Fabolous alleged Ray J was on drugs in an interview with Power 105.1's DJ Clue following his infamous clash with Ray J last year. "This n---s high or coked up or on pills," Fab told Clue flatly, when describing the events of that night.

When recounting the story to New York City’s Hot 97 radio station, 50 Cent gave a similar account of Fabolous’ story. "This whole story that he made up, that Tupac rant about him swinging on somebody and all of that s--t is all lies,” Fif said, making a blatant reference to Whitney’s Houston’s very public drug use and her relationship with Ray J. “Its all, high on coke, on that Whitney. That's all on that Whitney last night.”

Brandy Urges Ray J To Seek Counseling Over Whitney Houston

Ray J’s attorney responded to Leolah Brown’s accusations in a statement saying, "Though Leolah Brown was nowhere near the Beverly Hilton hotel on the day Whitney Houston died, [HLN's parent company] CNN proceeded to broadcast an interview with Ms. Brown in which she falsely claimed that Ray J was at the hotel and contributed to Whitney Houston's death.”

Recently, Whitney's sister-in-law and manager Patricia Houston told Oprah in her intimate sit down on "Oprah's Next Chapter” that Houston was chasing the wrong kind of younger man and alluded to this being an impediment to the singer's recovery.  "I saw her chasing a dream...looking for love in all the wrong places," she said.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
