LL Cool J and Nicki Minaj are getting into the Grammy spirit in a series of playful new promo photos for the upcoming awards. Against a huge Grammy statuette, a very blonde Nicki showed off both very happy and pouty looks; the latter presumably if she doesn't snag awards in the multiple categories she's nominated in. Among others, the Barbie is up for Best New Artist where she'll go head-to-head against Bon Iver, Skrillex, J. Cole and the Band Perry. She will also hit the Grammy stage for the first time and join other slated performers like Rihanna and Coldplay, Bruno Mars, the Foo Fighters and Taylor Swift.

2012 Grammys: LL Cool J Is the First Host Since 2005

Nicki's performance is sure to tide fans over since the news that her sophomore album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded has been delayed to April 3rd. On January 20th, Minaj revealed the push back on Twitter: "New Album Date: April 3rd. Pink Friday: ROMAN RELOADED. But have no fear. Tons of surprises before then ;). Love Always, HB."

LL's hosting gig marks the first time in seven years that the annual awards show has had a host. I'm thrilled to be part of Music's Biggest Night," the rapper/actor said in a statement earlier. He's hosted the nominations concert every year since 2008. "I will always have fond memories of my first Grammys Awards and to now be hosting the Grammy show, in the company of so many other incredible artists, is a dream come true."
