Birdman Bets $5 Million On Patriots Super Bowl XLVI Win

50 Cent thought he was putting up big stacks when he threw down a $500, 000 bet on the New York Giants in Sunday’s NFC Championship game against the San Francisco 49ers, but Birdman is stepping it up just a notch. According to his tweets, the Cash Money CEO is betting an astounding $5 million on the New England Patriots to take home another ring in Super Bowl XLVI, when they play ball against Eli Manning and the Giants on February 5.

"I like New ENGLaNd.my nephew play RB# 42.I'm Bet 5million 2 any ni----.like tha Giants YMCMB.BabyMoney anybody kan Getit," Birdman wrote on Twitter Monday (January 23). But even for Birdman, $5 million seems like a hefty bet.

Last year the New Orleans native bet $1 million on the Green Bay Packers—Lil Wayne’s favorite team—who managed to defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers and earn him a pretty penny in return. Super Bowl XLVI will be held in Indianapolis on February 5, and we can’t wait to see Birdman’s tweets following the game.

      You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention. 
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
