Pitbull possesses an innate ability to remix hit songs into even bigger hit songs, and although we didn’t really see this one coming, it makes perfect sense that the Miami rapper now has a remix to Jay-Z and Kanye West’s hit “Ni--as in Paris,” titled “Latinos in Paris.” Mr. 305 is so on top of his game that he even managed to churn out a video for his remix track before Jay and Ye put out a video for the song that they’ve now played up to 11 times at their live shows.

In the beginning of the clip, which co-stars rapper Sensato, Pitbull announces that it’s the first video he’s ever directed. The visuals find them on a private jet, in the club, hanging out backstage before a big concert and obviously just hamming it up in Paris with the Eiffel Tower as a backdrop.

Does this mean that The Throne has to really bring their A-game when they finally release an original video for “Ni--as in Paris?” According to a tally from Rolling Stone, Jay-Z and Kanye performed “Ni--as in Paris” for at least 613.2 minutes on their WTT tour, playing it for 40:25 minutes when they played it 11 times in Vancouver.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
