Game And Tyler, The Creator Get Creepy In 'Martians Vs. Goblins' Video

Game’s highly anticipated fourth studio project, The R.E.D. Album, dropped this summer but it nearly got lost in the midst of high profile releases from Lil Wayne, Jay-Z and Kanye West. Now the Los Angeles rapper is continuing his push behind the album, following up his “Red Nation” and “Pot of Gold” videos with “Martians vs. Goblins," featuring an appearance from Odd Future's Tyler, The Creator.

The macabre clip is directed by Matt Alonzo, opening with shots of bloodstained walls bearing the name of the song and its’ players. The camera then cuts to Game, bound in a straitjacket, sporting color-contorting contact lenses, being pushed in a wheelchair through a demented psych ward. During this verse Game dials in with some shocking Odd Future-esque shock raps and some disses aimed at Rihanna and Lil B. Replete with images of the patients in various stages of mania, the video aims to shock the senses early on.

For his portion of the clip, Tyler—using his sinister alias Wolf Haley—is just as arresting, appearing as a patient, complete with a wayward cat perched upon his shoulders. Tyler’s gruff baritone voice, which belies his youthful looks, clashes with the rapper’s hyperactivity displayed in the clip.

The rest of the reel continues in the same creepy vein, as Game’s second verse finds him strapped to an operating table and jumping between clips of him rhyming in a cell. Lebron James, Eyrkah Badu and even Game himself are targets on the closing rhyme, as the video comes to a close with the rapper’s eyes turning green and fading out to black complete with maniacal laughter.
