Interesting Video Find

Angel - Anyone remember this group? Greg Guiffria, Punky Meadows, Frank DiMino, Felix Robinson and Barry Brant. They recorded several albums in the early to mid 70's, including Helluva Band, White Hot, and Sinful.

They put together some great music, and a few of their songs (including Tower, Rock And Rollers, and the Winter Song) were in frequent rotation on many radio stations. They also recorded a title track for the movie Foxes.

Anyway, I was doing some random searches and browsing various file lists, when much to my suprise I found a couple Cassablanca Records promo videos from them (songs including Tower, You're Not Fooling Me, Magic Touch, and Feelin Right). Apparently recorded from an old VHS tape, but the quality wasn't terrible.

Anyway, it was a rare find and great addition to my video collection. Isn't P2P great?

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
