US concern over war dead photos:

Pictures are very powerful tools in conveying the realities of distant events to the public at home and war photos are no different. Even though i do understand the privacy concern, allowing the miliary to dictate what photographs are allowed leads us down a very dangerous path concerning freedom of imformation.

PS. Mosaic picture of Bush was pretty cool. Anyone has link to that site?

As a matter of fact I do. I didnt post it initially out of respect for the dead--they should be honored in a better way. I'd be a lot of happier if no one died over there...

I was just watching a CNN interview with the woman who posted the photo over the internet. She says that a government man recently showed up to her house and said he was supposed to take her (to an undisclosed place for 4 hours). I thought this was one of the strangest things yet to come out of this affair... If true, I wonder who was behind it..their head(s) should roll... :reallymad: :reallymad:

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
