Daniel Radcliffe, 'How To Succeed' Cast Appearing In Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

[img]http://moviesblog.mtv.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/dan-radcliffe.jpg[/img]If you -- like me -- are upset because you never quite could get the timing right to go see [url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/person/264615/personmain.jhtml"]Daniel Radcliffe[/url] perform live on Broadway in "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying," this should be some good news for you.

[url="http://www.nbc.com/news/2011/11/02/macys-thanksgiving-day-parade-celebrates-its-85th-year-by-marching-into-the-holiday-season-on-nbc-fr/"]NBC[/url] is reporting that Radcliffe and the rest of the cast of the musical are going to be marching in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

And, though it's not confirmed in the news release, my gut is telling me that at least one song and dance number from the show might be featured as well.

Sure, this is a little ironic considering the fact that Radcliffe is British and technically doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving, but considering MTV News [url="http://www.mtv.com/videos/movies/655814/daniel-radcliffe-has-an-empire-state-of-mind.jhtml"]confirmed he's a certified New Yorker[/url], I think he's all set.

The parade airs on NBC on November 24 from 9am to noon. There's no word yet on when Radcliffe and the "How To Succeed" gang will be strutting through NYC, but even if you miss the live event, there will be a recap from 10pm to 11pm that night hosted by Matt Lauer.

Even if you aren't a fan of Radcliffe (for whatever crazy reason that may be), there's plenty more to give thanks for in the Macy's parade. Tim Burton has designed a new balloon -- a lonely balloon outsider named "B." -- that will be in the parade. Also kids movie favorites like "Diary of A Wimpy Kid," "Buzz Lightyear" and "Spider-Man" will be making return appearances. Artists like Cee Lo Green, Ingrid Michaelson, Mary J. Blige and Cobra Starship will also be performing, as well as the cast of

      You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention. 
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020."
