Olivia Wilde Loves Steve Carell In 'Burt Wonderstone'

[url="http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/olivia-wilde-steve-buscemi-burt-wonderstone-255288"][i]The Hollywood Reporter[/i][/url] has learned that the duo are in talks to join the project as Carell's love interest and longtime partner who quits their Las Vegas magician act, respectively. Jim Carrey and James Gandolfini are also in negotiations to come on board. "Burt Wonderstone" is scheduled to begin filming in January.

Spencer is a card dealer at the casino Brand works at.

[b]"Now You See" Michael Caine In New Movie[/b]
[url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/person/9107/personmain.jhtml"]Michael Caine[/url] is joining the ranks of Louis Letterier's heist-thriller "[url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/movie/480448/moviemain.jhtml"]Now You See Me[/url]," according to [url="http://blogs.indiewire.com/theplaylist/archives/michael_caine_joins_louis_leterriers_now_you_see_me/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed#"]The Playlist[/url]. He'll be joining Dave Franco, Woody Harrelson, Morgan Freeman, Isla Fisher, Mark Ruffalo, Melanie Laurent and Jesse Eisenberg in the flick. The magician thriller will hit theaters on January 18, 2013.

"War Horse" star [url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/person/1140734/personmain.jhtml"]Jeremy Irvine [/url]has been tapped by Jonathan Teplitzky to play a young Colin Firth in their new World War II drama "The Railway Man." [url="http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/war-horse-jeremy-irvine-colin-firth-255468"][i]The Hollywood Reporter[/i][/url] has the news that Irvine will play a young Eric Lomax, the man who wrote the memoir that the film is based on. The movie recounts Lomax's experience working on Japan's Death Railway in World War II.

[b]Genesis Rodriguez Joins "The Last Stand"[/b]
The actors continue flocking to Kim Jee-woon's action flick "[url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/movie/483456/moviemain.jhtml"]The Last Stand[/url]." [url="http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118045332"][i]Variety[/i][/url] has learned that Genesis Rodriguez is the latest to join the movie as an FBI agent partnered with another who is being played by Eduardo Noriega. They'll join Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jaimie Alexander, Forest Whitaker and Harry Dean Stanton in the film.

[b]Anthony LaPaglia Comes On Board "Django Unchained"[/b]
[url="http://www.deadline.com/2011/10/anthony-lapaglia-joins-django-unchained-laments-hardships-pushing-actors-to-tv/"]Deadline[/url] has learned that [url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/person/35139/personmain.jhtml"]Anthony LaPaglia[/url] is the latest to join up with Quentin Tarantino's flick "[url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/movie/476781/moviemain.jhtml"]Django Unchained[/url]." He'll play the leader of greedy slave-trafficking Australians who encounters titular slave-turned-bounty hunter, Django. LaPaglia and Joseph Gordon-Levitt will play brothers in the film.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
      You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention. 
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
