Anne Hathaway Becomes A Producer For The First Time In 'Puzzler'

According to [url="http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/anne-hathaway-puzzler-produce-253677"][i]The Hollywood Reporter[/i][/url], Hathaway is set to both star in and produce the thriller "Puzzler" at Paramount. It is being described as similar to "Three Days of the Condor," the Robert Redford film that followed a CIA researcher who finds all his friends dead and needs to stay several steps ahead of his attackers. The movie will be written by "Tresspass" scribe Karl Gajdusek. No word yet on when it will go in front of the camera.

They'll both soon be starring in "Planet B Boy," an upcoming Screen Gems film that tells the real-life story of a group of American b boys. Inspired by an award-winning documentary, the movie follows an all-star American group of breakdancers who train to compete in the Battle of the Year International Championships in France. The movie also stars Josh Peck, Laz Alonso and Caity Lotz.

[b]Paul Walker To Star In "District 13" Remake[/b]
[url="http://www.deadline.com/2011/10/paul-walker-in-talks-for-luc-bessons-district-b-13-redo-brick-mansions/"]Deadline[/url] has learned that [url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/person/203430/personmain.jhtml"]Paul Walker [/url]is in negotiations to join "Brick Mansions," the Luc Besson-scripted remake of Pierre Morel's 2004 French thriller "District 13." He will play an undercover detective looking to take down a drug dealer who stole a WMD. David Belle, the actor who starred in the original, will also star in the movie.

[b]Ryan Kwanten And Amy Smart Take Flight On "Flight 7500"[/b]
[url="http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/news/26937"]Bloody Disgusting[/url] is reporting that [url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/person/305843/personmain.jhtml"]Ryan Kwanten[/url] and[url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/person/201349/personmain.jhtml"] Amy Smart[/url] are in talks to star in the thriller "Flight 7500." The movie comes from "The Grudge" director Takashi Shimizu. It is set on a transpacific airliner from LA to Tokyo that encounters a supernatural force. Smart would play one of the passengers. It is unclear who Kwanten will play.

[b]Dylan McDermott Gets In On The "Dog Fight"[/b]
Casting on Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis' political comedy "Dog Fight" is heating up. The latest actor to join the cast is "American Horror Story" star [url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/person/41682/personmain.jhtml"]Dylan McDermott[/url], who plays the consultant who runs Galifianakis' campaign. He joins Jason Sudeikis, Sarah Baker and Katherine LaNasa in the Jay Roach-directed comedy. Filming starts next month.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
      You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention. 
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
