Two new stills from "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" have hit the web, though we still haven't seen the titular dragon tattoo yet. Come on!

The first shows Rooney Mara as Lisbeth Salander and Daniel Craig as Mikael Blomkvist poring over some papers that very likely have to do with the Vanger case that sits at the film's center. Unfortunately there's not much context to go off of, but this could be the scene where Mikael visits Lisbeth for the first time and tries to recruit her to helping him solve the Vanger case. Regardless, it's nice to see the two of them in the same still together, since it's their dynamic that we are most looking forward to.

Check out the other new image after the jump.

Turns out Craig also gets a photo to himself that also shows off some of the Swedish landscape. It looks to us like Blomkvist is struggling to find some cell service so he can talk to his lady Erika Berger, who is being played by Robin Wright. That would mean that he's hanging out at Vanger's estate, something we haven’t had a chance to see much of in recent promotion.

These new images continue to leave us feeling optimistic about David Fincher's take on "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo." The "Dragon Tattoo" trailer certainly left a good taste in our mouth, and we look forward to seeing what the future promotions for the flick look like. There are still a good few months of marketing ahead of us, as "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" hits theaters December 21.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
