"Twice as Proper" and their founders:
Craft & Shadi have been a DJ duo since 1994 on those legendary Technics 1200's. Then followed the years of CDJ technology and mixers with effects, always keeping it dark, deep, dirty real serious. They now often perform live mixes with the ultimate Xponent controller, with many built-in live effects. They go on with explosive sets, chopping' up loops and samples, all while in the mix. The result is always "Massive". Twice as Proper is a New York City Based Underground Techno Events organization. Shadi & Craft co-created the movement "Twice as Sweet" which then became "Twice as Proper Sessions". With an impressive over 200 events and counting in the past 5 years alone, it is now well known in the NYC minimal techno scene. With quite an illustrious list of guest DJ bookings in venues across Manhattan & Brooklyn, there is always something exciting and different to expect from the events. In 2010, Twice as Proper hosted 8 events in Playa del Carmen (Mexico) during the winter, as well as keeping regular NYC events alive as always. 2011 looks promising, as last year was really good for the two artists, bringing International tours in 5 countries, international radio shows, podcasts, music productions, TV coverage, soundcloud recordings listened to in over 60 countries, new fans and friends. Craft & Shadi promise to rip it Proper. No crap.

Lance Jordan is an internationally renown producer / remixer and DJ. His work has been embraced by the global dance community with several chart topping club hits including Rosko's Billboard No. 1 hit "Love Is A Drug" and the world-wide club anthem, "Last Night I Was Dreaming" feat. Dr. T. His sound is known for being infectious on the dancefloor with a melodic style and crisp high-quality productions that hit you in your soul more than in your face. Lance's DJ style reflects his eclectic musical background and has been well received by underground music heads as well as more mainstream audiences. Knowing how to work a room into a joyful frenzy, Jordan is well known for bringing live performance elements into his sets with live vocalists and percussion.
Jordan knows how to ignite the sophisticated and eclectic tastes of modern clubgoers.

Dusk Recordings, the imprint formed by Lance Jordan, has been gaining steam in the house music world with tracks licensed to top compilations including Global Underground No. 31. “Sun Is Rising” gets highly placed on Dubfire's Live @ Taipei release and the track is featured as side A1 on the vinyl release. Jordan was also hired by electronic music superstar Nadia Ali (of iio) to exclusively produce the music for her 2006-2007 world tour. He co-produced Something To Lose with Creamer & K featuring Nadia Ali & Rosko on Ultra Records

Jordan's work is well supported by the industry's finest including the likes of John Digweed, Sasha, Deep Dish, Danny Tenaglia, Sander Kleinenberg, David Waxman, and Hector Romero. Lance is also well know for his collaborations with John Creamer & Stephane K and his work with NY LOVE.

With an extensive musical background in song writing, composition and musicianship as well as production, Jordan has a knack for finding and developing emerging artists and vocalist. His recent remix of Grammy Nominee Madelin Zero's "Gotta Know" has been topping DJ charts around the world. While Jordan's style is constantly evolving, his ear for a strong song and hook is apparent in all of his work. His tracks posses a musical finesse not often associated with dance music. His dedication to the underground club scene and appreciation for solid musical productions with vocal driven songs have earned Jordan a distinctive place in dance music.

Lance Jordan along with Dusk Recordings are names to be on the lookout for as emerging forces within the global electronic scene.

With many years of professional music industry experience, and international charted tracks under his belt, Lance Jordan's productions and DJ sets are amassing world wide appeal. His original tracks are distributed globally and have been licensed to labels and compilations in The US, Spain, Portugal and Greece. Rosko's "Love is a Drug" co-written and co-produced by Jordan hit No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Club Chart. "Last Night I Was Dreaming" a world-wide anthem, reached No.2 Dance Chart spot on European radio. In 2004 the acclaimed production team Creamer & K launched NY LOVE Records with Jordan after a series of highly successful collaborations. Jordan's DJ sets have expanded his audience in many of dance music's most notorious venues including New York's Crobar, Avalon, Discotheque and have taken him to South America and Europe. He is currently working on a full-length artist album including tracks with Jordan's own vocals. His work continues to get strong support from the global DJ community including John Digweed, Danny Tenaglia, Sander Kleinenberg, Hernan Cattaneo, Randall Jones, Deep Dish, Hector Romero & Satoshi Tomiie.

The native New Yorker's professional music career began at age sixteen with live performances at The Rising Sun. He later fronted original bands as guitarist and vocalist playing at New York's, CBGB's, The Bitter End and Bond Street. Early influences range from rock and disco to house music and early techno of the late 80s through 90s and the New York club sounds of the Limelight, The Tunnel, The Palladium, Frying Pan and Save the Robots would have a lasting impact in the development of his production and DJ style.

In 1996 Jordan started producing professionally with independent releases on the Blue Nova imprint. He lived in Germany from 1999-2000 producing the full-length release Dark Sky under the Electronic Soul moniker. The CD received great acclaim and spawned his professional DJ career with sold out dates in Hamburg and Cologne Germany. Upon returning to New York, Jordan would launch his recording studio producing for labels including DreamWorks, Arista, Webster Hall and VP Records. Today Jordan continues to refine his craft with a passion for creating music that moves the body and soul through rhythm, mood, melody and groove. His sound is fast becoming a defining element in the global DJ market.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
