Eventually picking up the bass guitar at age sixteen, and later on the drums, Oliver was soon playing in bands in the D.C. and Virginia area. It wasn't until 1999 that he fell in love with electronic music and never looked back. Within a few years he had purchased turntables and began to play out at various venue's in the D.C./VA area. After moving to South Beach in 2004 and gaining exposure to Miami's underground Dirty House and Tech scene, Oliver soon began spinning at numerous clubs and afterparties in Miami and D.C., perfecting his signature blend of dark, underground, House and Techno. Today, Oliver Caine resides in Virginia, is a regular in the D.C. and NYC club scenes, is working on production projects, and continues to perform across the United States and abroad. Notable events performed last year included gigs at Coco Maya in Playa Del Carmen Mexico during the BPM festival, Bookies in Detroit during DEMF, a podcast/interview for feedtheraver.com, a live broadcast and interview on electronicrhythms.com, and a slew of other gigs up and down the east coast. 2012 has proven to be a great year for Oliver, and 2013 is already looking very promising for this veteran set builder in all things dark and dirty... MARTIN (Life / Mmnlife - Washington DC) Hailing from just outside of Washington DC, Dave Martin or as he prefers to go by today, Mr. Martin, is no new name in the regional house/techno scene. Over the past six years, Dave has been hard at work establishing himself as a young local artist with a more eclectic and refined sound than you will hear at your typical nightclub. Over the years, Dave has adapted to become a versatile DJ of the deeper sound in electronic music. Fluctuating his tastes between the sounds of dark, hypnotizing atmospheres, layered with “heads down, no mucking around techno” to the more funky grooves of deep, tech house, Dave has achieved a very unique and relevant style in the fast paced, constantly evolving dance music scene. As a young man, Dave was always fascinated by many styles of music such as rock n’ roll, blues, heavy metal, some hip-hop and even classical music. Throughout his adolescence, Dave experimented with music by playing bass in numerous local bands. Then he experienced his first “Rave” at the age of 17. In a matter of hours, the sound of electronic music had astounded his senses and captured his full attention. He recalls a fond memory of that night where he said to himself, “I have been listening to the wrong music all along”. This attraction marked a new evolution of the artist within and set Dave on his course. Since his transformation into dance music, he has been chosen to spin next to the finest! Dave, Mr. Martin is one of DC's top talents that have worked his way though the masses to present the best taste in house and techno from his beginnings in Baltimore to his sets at U Street Music Hall and various staple electronic music venues around DC to his techno slaughterhouse appearances at Bar 13 and National Underground in NYC. With some of his own music on the way, the future of Mr. Martin and his impact on dance music seems very promising. Soundcloud: @davemartin9284 ____________________________________________________________ ONDA SKILLET (AeroTropic) "This level of density would not make sense if there was no sound to this physicality, therefore we create sound to take us wherever we want. A unique selection of the effects of specific types of sounds and how they influence our body and mind through the vibrational complexity thus providing redifined energies in motion." Listening to his “AeroTropic” sound will make you want to close your eyes and imagine you’re flying just above the beach with the wind blowing through your hair.. Images of vivid palm trees and blue waters come to mind when listening to his mixture of sounds with the occassional space travel over the horizon. Onda Skillet’s music is charged with profound emotion, penetrating the inner depths of the soul, and warming even the coldest of hearts. "What begins as a time machine journey through your memories, evolves into a constant racing and harmonious vortex of sound". The abstract yet melodic complexities within his music send us flying into a more cerebral dream like dimension. The ability to read a crowd and play into their vibe is a gift Skillet expresses fluidly without missing a beat or losing focus, covering and creating the atmosphere of the party and for crowd. One of his first and largest career goals was to return to Costa Rica as a DJ and that moment arrived in June of 2008 when surprisingly booking two shows at one of the main clubs in San Jose and the other on a west coast beach resort. The performances were a total success: Onda had not only achieved his dream, he then gained a huge following in Costa Rica, further improving his concept of sound in the industry where he returned 4 more times to play at beach festivals, underground black parties and clubs. Skillet’s electronic music vision continues on a steady rise spinning in major venues and underground parties in NYC such as Trilogy, Twice as Proper and Prive as well as many others. Consecutively performing for three years in a row in private festival Pink in Vermont, every year he has closed the festival on sunday mornings with extended sets. Internationally he has recently toured Costa Rica and Mexico for the fifth time, with bookings that include headlining act for the 2011 New Years Eve Party in Manuel Antonio for Circuit events in Costa Rica as well as bookings in Playa Del Carmen and Tulum, Mexico for Twice as Proper events. In summer of 2012, he was invited to play at the 16th annual three day WEMF festival held on top of the beautiful mountains of Madawaska, north of Toronto in Canada where he closed the underground stage on sunday morning with an amazing 7 hour set. This documentation will record onda Skillet's evolutionary refinement of his AeroTropic sound concept throughout the years. This audio biography will be presented in recorded sets labeled 'Patterns' that will be officially released with the first 5 Patterns becoming available for download. Right now only Patterns II, 3-D and IV are available for listening. When the first 5 Patterns are complete, this Development will then be readily avaible for download as the first volume edition of this documentation. This audio biography will then continue to flourish with the next volume Patterns becoming a cirulatory podcast recording the evolutionary progression of onda Skillet's concept of the AeroTropic sound. Feed The Raver officially partnered with Detroit's Movement festival media coverage in 2012 interviewing international techno DJ's as well as promoting the festival itself. Craft also created and designed the "Party People" T-Shirt which has a history of its own... Craft first began producing in 1999 with programs such as ReBirth (which emulates two Roland TB-303 synthesizers, a Roland TR-808, and a Roland TR-909 drum machine all at once) and Cakewalk for final arrangements. He then used strictly Reason for five years, from its first version launched in 2000 through version 3 when he finally migrated to Apple’s Logic 7 in 2005. Hip hop's golden era was winding down, and the NYC rave scene was just beginning to descend from its peak. There were still tons of big parties and outlaws happening and it was here where Justin first developed his love for EDM. In 2000, he bought a pair of Technic 1200's and taught himself how to mix and beatmatch with a crate of hand me down techno records from classic labels like Drumcode, Code Red, Hybrid, Planet Rhythm, Svek, Primate, Primeveil, etc. Soon after, with perfect timing, he landed a job working for the prestigious and world renown Satellite Records. Being around the widest selection of new releases and back catalogues only further fueled his vinyl addiction and ability to pick tracks. Within a year, Justin was getting booked to play at various techno weekly's and one offs around the city at famed locations such as Guernica, Liquids, and Sullivan Room to name a few. Established DJ's and promoters were calling him a prodigy due to his eerily quick understanding and mastering of technical and programming skills. Track selection and dancefloor response solidified his status as a respected up and comer in the scene. In 2004 Justin decided to enroll in the DMX audio program at Touro College in NYC and earned his certificate for audio engineering. That same year he began co-producing tracks with good friend Agent Orange who was already running his well known label Gotham Grooves, putting out vinyl releases consistently. Up until that point Justin had only dabbled in production on a novice level and felt it was time to take the next step, and those first few studio sessions with Agent Orange were the seeds that started it all. Soon after he saved up to buy his own home rig where he can refine his sound. Around 2007 he began producing heavily albeit exclusively hip hop. His roommates and childhood friends/emcee collaborators I Am Many and Reason Kills were the catalyst for these beats which remained hip hop in essence but had undertones of the techno and house music he still played and adored. His DJ schedule during these years remained modest in NY with some notable gigs outside the city in Detroit and Philly mostly. The DJ circuit in NYC was and still is extremely saturated and difficult to break into on a professional level. It takes a lot more than skills to turn this love of playing techno into a career, and it took a long time for Justin to realize this revelation - If you're not going out 3-4 nights a week and schmoozing with the movers and shakers in the scene, you absolutely must be putting out great music and getting recognition as a producer on an international level before any worthwhile gigs will come your way. Following some eye opening gigs around the year 2008 in the Raleigh-Durham region of North Carolina where Justin's sets were greeted with packed floors and screaming frenzy, the fire was re-lit. It was this turning point where Justin began taking the necessary steps to solidify a career for himself in the brutally difficult NYC market. This included making equal time in the studio for Techno and House production on top of Hip Hop, as well as proper networking in the metropolis. His first EDM release was a remix for Agent Orange's techno banger "Motorolla" on Gotham Grooves. The feedback that followed was stellar and a true testament to his dormant talent for creating grooves and dancefloor gold from the DJs perspective. It wasn't long before the calls and remix requests started rolling in. As a result of these first few releases and his networking prowess, he linked up with NYC house music staple Kenny Summit in 2009 and layed down the framework for the promising career that glimmers on the horizon presently. Kenny saw the talent and decided to include him in his plan to start a new label once the pieces were in play and the proper investments locked down. In the meantime Justin released several original tracks and remixes on labels such as Mile End Records, Sonido Locale Recordings, B-Perfect Records, Gotham Grooves, and Assimilation Recordings, which all received heavy acclaim and support from the international DJ community. Like clockwork, the gigs became much more frequent in NYC and abroad, thus building an aura and demand for his high energy DJ sets and floor friendly productions. In 2011, Kenny Summit's Good For You Records was formed with the financial backing and industry know-how that could transform this hobby into a legitimate career. Justin was quickly signed and began churning out tunes for GFY's catalog under his name as well as the collaborative effort "Goddam Kids" with Kenny Summit. The GFY sound is more geared more towards crossover house and tech house appeal but most importantly, remained totally underground and true to his tastes as a multi-faceted DJ. The first batch of releases are slated for a June 2012 drop. On the techno side, Justin is set to release the "Gate EP" on Ill Bomb Records in May 2012 which includes remixes from some of the top techno talents from NYC as well as A-List techno heavyweight Audio Injection aka Truncate which is already getting support from Chris Liebing, Subfractal, Erphun, The Advent, among many others. With countless other projects in the works, 2012 is proving to be the biggest year yet with no signs of slowing down. And on a side note, Justin's hip hop production, under the alias Logik Proof, has found its way to the airwaves of the largest hip hop radio station in the world, Hot97. Peter Rosenburg played the lead single "Posers" from his album with I am Many, titled Strength In Numbers, for seven weeks straight on his Sunday NIght showcase "Real Late w/ Rosenburg". Justin's DJ style can be described as moody, thought provoking, bangin, funky, and most importantly, dancefloor frenzy inducing. Techno, house, and all of the blurry lines in between are surgically programmed and intertwined with passion and undeniable presence. Whether it's an hour bang fest, or a 3 hour journey, Justin Schumacher will without question make you dance your ass off from the moment he touches the mixer until the last track is played. -- Justin Schumacher....aka Logik Proof Gotham Grooves Records, Bklyn Steel DJ/Producer http://soundcloud.com/justinschumacher http://www.facebook.com/pages/Justi...114389341956709 Characterized by sheer funk and groove, he is a talented DJ/producer who was recently catapulted to stardom as the Audio Injection remix of his Gate track was and still is played across the globe, amassing spiraling praise and support. Justin Schumacher - http://bit.ly/M4FIBU ____________________________________________________________ - CHAMOMILE (Mineaturesrec/Resort) EDM producer Roman Chamomile, known as simply Chamomile, has releases on many independent record labels, such as Miniaturesrec, Subtrak, Kynatix, Imperial/Border Recordings, UrbanVibe Records, Truth Underground Rec, Ill Bomb Records, Footmusic Records, Resort Records and many more. His exploratory vibes have been perceived as different from the mainstream, most of what would be considered Tech. His latest productions include elements of Deep House, Techno, Tech-House and Minimal, with each track superseding the last by higher quality and creativity. Born in Ukraine, Roman moved to NYC at the age of 10, with knowledge of music theory, and proficiency as a pianist. By the age of 19, Roman mastered the guitar and bass guitar as well, and was in numerous Rock/Metal/Death Metal bands and opened up for some of the greatest acts in those genres, from which he achieved his darker tastes for music. After frequenting many major and local EDM parties, Roman became discontent with the direction of the music industry and started getting into the underground techno scene in NYC. He became a producer/dj after he broke ties with his other music career and had his first release from Kynatix in January 2012. His latest EP entitle "Nikolayev", was featured on the top 100 Beatport Techno Chart, which is available via Ill Bomb Records. Chamomile is also part of Destroy Date, a group formed between himself and d_Verge, which is set to release quality dark techno projects with their first EP entitled "More Disk Space" available on Kynatix. Craft also created and designed the "Party People" T-Shirt which has a history of its own... About Craft's music production: Craft first began producing in 1999 with programs such as ReBirth (which emulates two Roland TB-303 synthesizers, a Roland TR-808, and a Roland TR-909 drum machine all at once) and Cakewalk for final arrangements. He then used strictly Reason for five years, from its first version launched in 2000 through version 3 when he finally migrated to Apple’s Logic 7 in 2005. Today he continues to use Logic, which has now reached version 9 (aka Logic Pro) as well as Maschine. Craft taught himself everything and is a true master at using the complicated features of this professional music production software The results are evident with the continuous smashing releases which have now earned him an international reputation, 13 years in the making.. With over 200 events and 100 guest DJ's we are very proud of this amazing achievement and want to thank everyone for the continued support. This massive flyer is designed by jenny Arredondo and displays flyers from our events!! For this event, we have invited 2 special guests. 7 hours of Proper techno: -CRAFT (Twice as Proper) -SHADI (Twice as Proper) -OLIVER CAINE (Hidden Recordings - DC) -MIKE BRYANT (Intrinsic Recordings - NYC) You can read all about our organization's evolution from it's humble beginnings and its trajectory through the scene in this article below! Twice as Proper: Making techno history in New York. A summary of the Craft and Shadi's path through their Twice as Proper movement in NYC and abroad over 5 years. Craft and Shadi are solid underground dj's with experience close to 20 years on the decks since the early 1990's. This will undoubtedly earn anyone respect. However, they are also known for hosting hundreds of underground dj events in clubs, lounges, bars, restaurants and basements around Manhattan, Brooklyn and abroad over the last 5 years. What originally debuted in March 2007 as a weekly "dirty minimal" party under the name "Twice as Sweet" at Crudo in the Lower East Side lasted for over a year until the venue was closed. The movement was relocated to The Porch, also in the Lower East Side. It was renamed "Twice as Proper Sessions" with their new joining partner Los, becoming part of the movement for some further two years. They finally ended their two-year residency there and began a series of twelve "Twice as Proper - Slut" events, also known as simply "Slut" parties. The events bounced around every week to different venues and the residents called themselves the techno sluts. After 3 years, the events had become a solid part of New York's underground scene making the need for new flyers sometimes unnecessary and invitations were often made by word of mouth. Many DJ's were invited back on numerous occasions over the years. The concept of supporting local talent continued and it included everything from techno dj's who were already playing alongside international superstars to deep underground house and tech-house artists who were evolving along the way. In 2010, Craft and Shadi focused on hosting two weekend monthly events, allowing them more time for other shows and bookings at events, radios, stages and showcases. One Twice as Proper was held at a proper club, with everything one would expect from a serious underground techno party. The second "monthly" proved to be truly original and innovative, being held in SOHO's fancy BOOM restaurant for a "more intimate techno experience" but "like no other restaurant party in the world". In fact, 2012 is the 3rd year for regular "Twice as Proper - BOOM" events and it remains their longest standing successful monthly event to date in a venue. The recipe involves transforming Friday's classy Italian dim candle-lit dinner restaurant into a SOHO club, by removing the tables and clearing the way for a proper dance floor. The Dj's dark blasting bass begins at midnight and 2-3 projectors on the walls provide an incredible visual experience leading way to the cheering and dancing to take over the night in pure techno style. The event is always free and remains a fan-favorite to this day. By the end of 2010, Craft and Shadi hosted a series of 8 events in different stunning venues across Playa del Carmen, Mexico, (6 public events and 2 private pool parties). With a proper marketing strategy, thousands of flyers were distributed on the beach and several hundred posters were placed around town. Maintaining the same concept of "supporting local talent", they scouted the best talent in that region of the country and invited 7 local Dj's to be part of the movement in Mexico. This attracted media attention all the way to Cancun, with E! Entertainment TV coming down to cover an event. Back to New York in 2011, Craft and Shadi continued their two monthly events the same way, with one at a club and one at BOOM restaurant. Twice as Proper also began a connection with the best techno organizations from other US cities, hosting 6 special events in NYC clubs showcasing artists from Detroit (belonging to Underground Resistance, Cultured Citizens, Detek and Detroit Techno Militia) as well as from Washington DC (belonging to Hidden Recordings and Life), and Boston (Beat Development). They also held their first Twice as Proper event in Washington DC at Sweet Spot club, also supporting local DC talent. Over these years, the high demand for Twice as Proper events and dj bookings have led them to pass through the most important venues in NYC's underground techno scene. With humble beginnings at Crudo, through The Porch, Sexy Bitch, La Zarza, East Side Company, Royale, Zaman Bar, BOOM to venues such as Bar 13, Sullivan Room, Stay, Open House, National Underground in the city, as well as in Mexico at Playa's Malandrin, Fashion Hotel rooftop, Los Danzantes Sky Bar, The Room, La Sirena, and Washington DC's Sweet Spot. Twice as Proper has now reached well over 200 events and always in legal venues, never putting any artists, staff or partygoers at risk. Nowadays Craft and Shadi are internationally recognized and in constant demand. Their fan base reached 84 countries on the internet in 2011. Their website is active since before their first party back in 2007, and it includes unfading and boundless content for fans to relive the past, present and future. It displays extensive bios, past flyers and next events for months to come, as well as links to almost 40 combined dj sets recorded live at events since 2007. It includes video edits in several countries and cities around the US, music productions, press reviews, press kits and more. Craft and Shadi past dj experiences and event production history now has them booked for shows six months ahead of time. With recent US tours in Detroit, DC, Boston, Baltimore and past international gigs in Italy, Egypt, Costa Rica, and Mexico, they are in growing demand to be part of showcases all over. The same goes for their Twice as proper events, which are now planned and booked 6 months ahead of time as well. Twice as Proper remains one of New York's top underground techno events organization committed to delivering a constant quality underground techno experience with a reasonable and friendly price tag, lots of smiles, and the best vibe possible. Venues and international artists are often contacting this organization which has earned it's reputation over time. 2012 has a lot more planned for these two techno pioneers, with more appearances scheduled in cities across the US and world radio shows, but this March 2012 is the time to enjoy the past, five years in the making. To sum up this article: Some ridiculous massiveness over the years! From Crudo's dirty minimal, to Porch's sloppy, to random Sluts, to Mexican Playas, back to Underground's basement Properness in NYC with some Detroitness, DCness and Bostonnnnnesss to enrich our the massiveness even more. Those who have been with us all the way know exactly what that means. If u don't understand, read the summary article in the event invite :) Here below is a list of 100 guest dj's who have been part of Twice as Proper up to date, in no particular order. Today, Oliver Caine resides in Virginia, is working on several production projects, and continues to perform across the United States and abroad. You constantly hear about a new DJ or producer moving to Berlin, but once you have invested the amount of time and energy into a city you love like Mike has, your in it for life. Hailing from the mid-west, dominating the early Rave scene, Mike made the jump to the big city per some advice from long time friend and collaborator, Troy Pierce of Minus fame. Not soon after Mike's arrival, he got his first big break, DJing at the infamous Antique Boutique retail store. In the 90's this was the place to get all your Rave gear, tickets, or anything dance music related. The boutique may have been a retail store, but it was also set up like a full on club. Neighbors 10 stories up would often complain about the club sized sound system that Mike got to play on every weekend. He soon built a reputation as one of New York's most liked new DJ's, which forced Antique Boutique to take action. That action was in the form of 2 commercially released mix CDs, programmed and mixed by Mike . These CDs would go on to become classic mixes played at after hours, in cars, and living rooms world wide. Not long after the first Boutique mix CD, Mike got his foot in the door at New York's most infamous mega-club, Twilo, where he was fortunate enough to play the main floor at it’s peak, as well as the upstairs on numerous occasions. These gigs and other notable guest appearances around NY helped spawn all sorts of travel, both domestically and internationally. Mike was playing anywhere from Liquids in Miami to Dominican Republic, Greece, Berlin, and all over Europe. With all the traveling on the weekends, Mike did what every great music lover should do, and what every great DJ would kill to do, work in vinyl distribution. Being a record buyer for the legendary Intergroove defiantly had its perks. Around the same time as Intergroove, Mike also took the next logical step for his career, he started a label. Intrinsic Design was born in 1997 with the help of Alexi Delano, and the label quickly blossomed into something that was in high demand by DJ's world wide. While running the label and being working at Intergroove, Mike continued his residencies across the US, DR, Mexico and playing one off gigs in Europe. With all the experience Mike had at the time, he took another leap with long time friend Robb Jeter and started his own distribution company, Rhythmic. After a few years with varying success, unfortunately the vinyl market started to fall to the digital age, so Mike chose to close Rhythmic and focus more on his production. Over the last few years, Mike has had remixes and releases on Minus, Mo's Ferry, Area Sur, Sub Trak, Thoughtless Music and a recent release ep on his own Intrinsic Design imprint . But while he’s coming into his own as a producer, Mike is first and foremost a DJ – some would say a DJ’s Dj – who continues to stick to his roots playing a mix of Detroit techno and Chicago House, coupled with a modern minimal/tech house aesthetic . Maybe you’ve heard the name, most likely you haven’t – but one thing is for sure, whether it’s a seedy afterhours club in NYC, or a 5,000 person rave in South America, when Mike is behind the decks he’s delivering the goods http://soundcloud.com/mike-bryant ________________________________________________________________ We promise to rip it Proper. Having managed record stores for ten years he saved the best for himself and uses it to create a smart, innovative set that reaches as far forward and back as his taste allows. Currently his focus is on bringing the underground minimal scene forward by mixing it up and slowing it down, bringing the future into a space by layering it with classics from the past. Three words? Taste. Innovation. Intelligent. Never pop. Never Hip Hop. Always good. His talent converge in two distinct points that win him praise over and over: the ability to choose the right tracks; and to assess and play a room the way the room is supposed to sound. Brion's unique approach has him flying about for private gigs on an international level. Playing from the top of the Tower Bridge of London, to mansions in Palm Springs and the Hamptons, from chateaus outside Paris to a palace warming in India in 2009! Brion Vytlacil is also the mind behind East Village Radio's ever growing Future Music program which highlights his personal music taste and that of his guests. On air for three years and with over 1000 live listeners a week from Budapest to Australia, South Africa to California his music is the world. www.eastvillageradio.com/show/futuremusic ________________________________________________________________ -STEPHEN EAVES (GruvMuzik): From an early upbringing in southern New Hampshire and the noise and sounds that is the natural underlying beauty of New England, when Stephen Eaves was exposed for the first time to music, he fell for the sweetness of a deep bass line. He could not resist the temptation of his new love and had to share his eclectic sense and attunement to what makes the ear, heart and soul move. From that point, eight years ago, he started playing. Yes, playing! That is what music is to Stephen, although he takes his playing quite seriously. He started playing out in Boston, influenced by dj Craig Mitchell, and with fellow music playmates dj’s Brienne, Jay Prouty and Will Monotone, all whom were vital in his education, exposure and evolution into whom he is now. For example: the ways sound frequencies vibrate the water molecules in our bodies influence us to feel certain emotions and redefined feelings. In performances, I tune out specific frequencies that vibrate brainwaves to a whole new level of symmetry. Just as essential oils like lavender trigger specific feelings and emotions, I use essential audio complexities to innovate the way we feel.” Onda Skillet’s music is charged with profound emotion, penetrating the inner depths of the soul, and warming even the coldest of hearts. Their sound is full on dark agressive but intelligent techno / tech-house, the kind that wakes up the dancefloor. During the last 3 years they have been hosting the "Third Ear Training" park parties in Brooklyn, Miami and Puerto Rico. From little dark rooms in Brooklyn, Miami Clubs and the last five ULTRA MUSIC FESTIVAL's they have moved people with their sets full of accents and exclamation points. Originally from Puerto Rico but now based out of New York City, they have established a solid following with their signature sound in one of the most respected techno scenes, New York City. www.bacteriarecords.com www.soundcloud.com/auricula ________________________________________________________________ - STEVEN LETIGRE (Subtropical) In 1996, Steven LeTigre moved to Florida where he stumbled onto the house scene that was in full swing due to the likes of Sasha and John Digweed. He then returned to New York two years later and began his DJ career. Influenced and inspired by his friends Larry Banks, Dave Cannalte, Luis Diaz, and Lee Burridge, LeTigre procured a style of his own, one that he considers to be "a sexy and techy vibe, with a certain groove that pulls you in." As a native of Zimbabwe, LeTigre’s style of house music was influenced at an early age by strong beats and deeply embedded rhythms. This influence, accompanied by many years growing up in New Jersey, moments away from New York City’s house music scene, is what’s made LeTigre’s style its own. LeTigre’s originality, determination, and unwavering dedication to create new sounds, has garnered him high respect amongst his fellow DJ’s and devoted fan base. As DJ and roommate Gaby Dershin – (AstroGlyde), once put it, “when you listen to LeTigre spin you get a sense of who he is…if you didn’t know him before, you will when he’s done.” It’s these rave reviews that allow LeTigre to play and continue pursuing house music as an ass shaking art form. As quoted by one of DJ Magazine’s top music editor’s, “LeTigre not only puts everything he is into his music, but everything he’s ever wanted, and everything he wants to be…I can’t wait to see what the next few years will bring for him.” He has thrown down at some of Miami’s most notable Winter Music Conference parties. Throughout his young career LeTigre has played along side some of the world’s most prominent DJs like; DJ Three, Terry Francis, Steve Lawler, Sean Cusik, Adam Collins, Lee Burridge, Steve Porter, Luis Diaz, Pete Bones, Sasha and many others. On an international level, LeTigre has become a staple in the South American house music diet, while continuously playing venues all over North America. In 2004-2005 brought about the launch of LeTigre’s own record label, Subtropical records, with partner Vincent Casanova. Gaining rave reviews for the release of his two most popular productions, "Tacit Consent" and "Much Too Sexy" which was charted at #14 on the Balance May 2006 chart. Letigre recently has become a fixture at the burgeoning BPM Festival held in Playa del Carmen, MX. Thanks in large part to his friend Betty Kang of Plexi PR, Letigre has played an increasingly important role atBPM was no exception, playing alongside the likes of Anthony Collins, Shonky, Stacy Pullen, Audiofly, Nitin, and Lee Burrige@The Villa Hermosa. Letigre has high hopes for 2010 after joining Autobrennt, establishing residencies with Resolute and Eklipze and considering the simple fact that it just happens to be the Year of the Tigre. ________________________________________________________________ - EDDIE KRILOV (Alka_Rex) Edward Krilov, a Russian import traces his musical roots back to when he was a kid in music school studying classical cello, and then at a young age developing a taste for electronic music. After moving to the States in 1991 shortly after the walls between East and West fell, Eddie's admiration for electronic music grew stronger and in 1993 he started promoting events with DJs and live acts in Seattle. It was around this time Eddie bought his first pair of decks, and took a one-year break to San Francisco. It was eventually time to head back East for Eddie - a couple of time zones short of Moscow - to explore what the opposite coast had to offer. Soon after his 1997 arrival in New York, he secured a residency at Jet Lounge and Club Speed, just to name two venues, and performed at Twilo, Limelight and most of NYC clubs. Since the beginning of his music career in minimal electronic music and sound design Eddie was involved in producing music, culminating in a collaboration with Alexander Kalin to create Alka-Rex, and co-founding Gravitonium Records and SP recording studios. With over 1000 performances as Dj and many Live shows, Eddie is a true veteran of the underground music culture. Eddie's releases as Alka_Rex on Mille Plateaux,Musique Risquée, Sonic Pleasures,Gravitonium,Thema,Archipel,Multicolor,Konque, Wolf+Lamb, AirDrop Records and Multivitamins got him international recognition. Arana honed his musical ear composing on classical guitar and playing in rock bands starting at the age of 13. After moving to NYC to practice corporate law, he became mesmerized by dance music in 1999, taught himself to DJ in 2003 as he juggled life as a lawyer, and then launched the first Wobble parties in 2004. He currently focuses on his upstart tech-house label, Wobble Music, based in the Lower East Side and his monthly party at Cielo. http://WobbleMusic.com/ ________________________________________________________________ Sick visuals: - CARLO VITTUCCI (Mothlab) Also known as Carlito 1311, he is first of all an expert of video images and of techno-minimal music.
