Soundcrash presents… Bonobo with his full live band in London’s most beautiful Art-Deco venue.
After his amazing sold out show at The Roundhouse, we have invited Bonobo and friends to play in East London’s most beautiful venue: The Troxy. As Si Green has taken residence in the good ol’ USA his UK appearances will be few and far in between, so this presents itself as an increasingly rare opportunity to listen and witness Bonobo plying his trade. Still riding high on the success of his album “Black Sands” out now on Ninja Tune, expect nothing but beautiful, perfectionist music fusing forward thinking electronica with the silkiness of jazz and the honesty of folk music.

Jono McCleery is a London based solo artist, who recently signed to Ninja Tune. He completed his 1st album ‘Darkest Light’ independently in 2008 which was self-produced and funded by his fans, including folk-star Vashti Bunyan and BBC radio DJs Tom Robinson and Fiona Talkington.

Rick Pearson, London Evening Standard music critic:
“McCleery’s songs echo the hushed magnificence of Nick Drake. Mellifluous melancholy of the highest order.”

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
