Though he's already a cornerstone of the Cadenza stable, Loko is a relatively young gun. He just released his first solo record in 2008, prior to which he'd worked exclusively with fellow Swiss producer Ripperton under the name Lazy Fat People. But the transition to working on his own seemed to come easily—less than a year after his first solo 12-inch dropped, he'd completed his first full-length, Seventynine. Both on record and behind the decks, his style is a perfect match for Luciano's label: punchy, minimalist house with a bit of tribal flair.

Check out this set from Mirko Loko, recorded live earlier this year at Lausanne, Switzerland’s Mad club, In Time Out New York

Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
