At each and every event we have some very special guests making their debut or a rare reappearance if they are the best of the best. The 6th Birthday is no exception as we welcome Xerox (Xerox & Illumination) from HOMmega Productions, Ian M returns to go back 2 back with Andy Farley. Techno master Chris Liberator, and very special guests Tim Healey and JoJo Defreq headline room 2.

Xerox (Xerox & illumination)

Xerox & Illumination are Moshe Keinan and Amir Dvir from Israel. Xerox released 4 albums: Xerox & Freeman - "Human Race" (1998), Xerox - "Freestyle" (1999), Maskalin - "Way of life" (2001) and Xerox - "Frequency drive" (2002). Illumination is Amir Dvir, a talented artist and sound technician of the first degree. He started making trance music under the name Luminus and released 3 albums: Luminus - "Journey into your dream" (1998), Luminus - "Hypnotica" (2000) and Luminus vs. Perplex - "Plexus" (2001). The due joined forces in 2002 and since then released tracks in leading compilations of labels such as T.I.P world, HOMmega, Spun and Crystal Matrix. Their joint venture albums – "Temporary insanity" (2004) and "XI" (2005) delivered Psychedelic trance fused with mettalic sounds and highly influenced from the techno & breakbeat genres. A new formula with a huge production of action packed epic music fitting both morning and night time moods. This new direction of the due was outstanding and it was not long before the biggest names in the scene Like Astrix, 1200mics, Etnica, Domestic & X-noiZe came knocking for remixes. In between the Brazil, Japan and European tours, XI are spending all their spare time in the studio working on a collaboration track with Astrix and on their new album which is schedueled to be released in 2007. The new album is considered another evolutionary step for XI as they seem to be close to perfection with their new innovative sound & style.

NEXT WEEK WE HAVE AN EXCLUSIVE MIX FROM XEROX!

Chris Liberator..

Everyone has heard of Chris Liberator. It’s a name that’s instantly familiar yet at the same time mysterious because it stands for so much more than the person behind it. Staunch supporter of the squat and free party scene since the early nineties his first inclusion in the DJ Top 100 in 1998 took Chris and his style of acid techno over ground and it’s this line between the anarchic D.I.Y. attitude and popular-by-demand commercialism that Chris has danced ever since. The Stay Up Forever label which he created with Julian and Aaron following the success of their illegal Liberator parties and the emerging creation of the acid techno sound was the beginning of the SUF Collective created in 2000, composed of other pioneers including D.A.V.E. the Drummer, ANT, Guy “Geezer” McGaffer and Gizelle. Between them the labels of Cluster, Maximum Minimum, Hydraulix, 4x4, RAW and Powertools defined a scene which continues to flourish beyond trends and the media.

Tim Healey...

He has rocked festivals across the globe, having repeatedly toured Europe, Asia, the US, Australia. He’s played Glastonbury and Reading festivals, Fuji Rock, Burning Man. He’s supported bands like the Prodigy, and is no stranger to crowds of up to 1 million, as his last New Year on the Beach in Rio will testify. In club land, he’s toured with DJs like David Guetta, Erick Morillo, and Deadmau5 and he’s played for Cream, God’s Kitchen, Ministry of Sound, Manumission, Pacha, and head-lined nights in territories as far flung as San Francisco, South Africa, Singapore, Kazakhstan and Brazil. His energetic sets are a mash-up of ghetto-house, electro and quality club-sounds, best summarised by DJ MAG: “Tim Healey blows the speakers apart with his trashed out sound, the music is as cutting edge as it can be”.

JoJo De Freq...

JoJo De Freq can truly be called a maverick. The Bugged Out resident is as unique and talented behind the decks as she is in the studio. JoJo has been at the forefront of the electro-techno scene in the UK since 2001. Her original approach to djing and self taught production skills have earned her the respect of forward thinking clubbers and promoters alike. With considered programming and plenty of risk taking, her energetic taste-making DJ sets are packed with suspense, style and surprises, and her sound is synthetic and acid-tinged, with quirky electronics as well as futurist percussion, riotous riffs and wonky basslines.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
