tidy Leeds... It’s back!

Ft. Hi Oktane

Saturday 23rd May 2009 – 9pm till 6am

Stylus Night Club, Leeds University, Leeds

If Magna Discovery Centre marked a new beginning for Sheffield’s industrial heritage, then tidy’s Homecoming party at the old steelworks marked a new beginning for the tidy faithful.

In times of tiresome turmoil, we proved that recession or no recession – the desire of our clubbers to come together with like minded individuals has not waned.

On the 7th March, over 4000 clubbers descended on Rotherham, South Yorkshire. Some came for the DJs, some came for the occasion – everyone came to share a common love of Hard Dance.

We’re going back to the fundamentals. Back to what made tidy the envy of promotions across the globe. We started with The Homecoming at Magna, but we couldn’t tread this path again without revisiting the Paris of the Pennines – the mighty Leeds.

tidy Leeds is firmly cemented in Hard Dance folklore. On Saturday 23rd May 2009, arguably the country’s leading city of party will come together with the club-night that’s dedicated to putting the party back into Hard Dance. tidy is staying in its spiritual home – Yorkshire - to deliver another devastating combination of audio excellence and unrivalled atmosphere.

We’re taking tidy’s new testament of tune-worship to Leeds’ leading late night venue. Stylus is an award winning nightspot, that’s played host to everyone from Carl Cox to The Kooks.

Historically it’s only ever been the cream of the musical crop at tidy Leeds events, so why would things be any different now? Global names in Hard Dance and Trance coming together on a lavish line up that’s likely to lick the lips of even the most hard-to-please night owl.

If you attended the Homecoming event, then all this will be trivial – see you down the front. If you didn’t, then don’t make the same mistake twice. Get on board.

LOVE TIDY – LOVE TIDY LEEDS.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
