Chris Impellitteri formed Impellitteri in 1987 together with Rob Rock (Angelica) as vocalist. That year, they released an EP called simply Impellitteri. The selftitled EP was well-received, but Rock was already committed to other projects. The band regrouped, this time with Graham Bonnet as lead singer, and released their first full-length album Stand In Line in 1988.

After some touring and label deals, Impellitteri returned (again with Rob Rock on vocals) with Grin and Bear It in 1992. The following year, they released another EP titled Victim of the System. In 1994, they released Answer to the Master.

In 1996, Impellitteri released Screaming Symphony, which has become one of the most acclaimed albums of the band. In 1997 they released yet another EP titled Fuel For The Fire, in preparation for their next full-length album. The next year, they released another of their most acclaimed works: Eye of the Hurricane. They followed it in 2000 with Crunch.

Shortly after, Rob Rock decided to pursue a solo career so Impellitteri again recruited Graham Bonnet and started working on their next album. In 2002 they released System X. That year they also released a compilation of hits called The Very Best of Impellitteri: Faster Than the Speed of Light.

The union with Bonnet would be short-lived as they parted ways some time after. Impellitteri recruited Curtis Skelton, releasing Pedal To The Metal in 2004, one of their most aggressive albums to date.

In May 2008, it was announced that Rob Rock was back in Impellitteri...

I like Graham Bonnett`s vocals..he has an incredible rock voice...I have followed him since his days with Ritchie Blackmore`s Rainbow and MSG (Michael Schenker Group) in the mid to late seventies...

Stand in Line and System X were and are excellent examples of these two talented metal musos (Chris Impellitteri and Graham Bonnett) working together for the greater metal good...

Impelliterri have been tied to Christian Rock or Metal but had this to say after Graham Bonnett left in 2003...

"As far as Christian metal ties, Impellitteri (the band) does not consider themselves to be a Christian band."

Rob Rock said the following in an interview:

“ Chris and I and Ken Mary are all Christians, but James and Ed and Glen, our touring drummer, don't necessarily proclaim themselves as Christians, so it's not a Christian band."

My thoughts on that are..."Who F...king cares mate?..The music is what counts and that sounds f...king great!!...

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
