BATTLEJAM @ CARGO 20/06/08

Recommended Posts

BATTLEJAM SPECIAL!! This time featuring the inimitable jungle drummer!! And the awesome Nathan Flutebox Lee, playing with his breathtakingly good Tabla and Guitar ensemble. This Battlejam will be an epic battle between DJ, Beatbox and Jungle Drummer!!

The format is simple. Beardyman, with his notorious beatboxing mouth and JFB with the aid of Serato Scratch-Live mash up live samples from the guest musician, MC, DJ or from the crowd either en-mass or individually and make a tune out of it - live before your very ears. No one knows what's going to happen until it does at Battlejam, not even the performers themselves.

It's a bit of genius, a bit of crazy, a bit of hi tech musicianship and a hell of a lot of fun.

LIVE: BEARDYMAN + JUNGLE DRUMMER + NATHAN FLUTEBOX LEE + KLUMZYTUNG

DJ: JFB

8-3

£6 b4 9, £12 after, £10 adv/NUS

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
