buggedout! tomorrow @ sankeys! s'gonna be killer, you know it... so join us... make it so

here's a bit of info on our guests...

buggedout! are back with another floor filling night of mutant techno and disco curveballs. we end terms and herald the summer with another crackin' line up for june. audion has just been added to this bill playing a live set. audion is matthew dear's techno alter ego and the texan will be playing a live set of tracks like mouth to mouth and noiser. amazing!

we've just had yuksek on in london and he was amazing, mixmag described him as "a funkier para one with a pinch of simian mobile disco with a very big club kick". check out his 'it comes' EP or his ace remixes of das pop and chromeo. joining him is hannah holland, who reckons she was born in a bass bin which made her the perfect resident for london's trailer trash and bastard batty bass. when she played with switch and duke dumont earlier this year in manchester she stole the show: you go girl!

hot chip's lead singer alexis taylor will be taking you on a pop odyssey through his record collection getting a party going with the kind of music that makes his band tick. we also welcome dekker to the fold and local heroes slippery people and mono! it's gonna be hot in the city tonight!

You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
