After spending the past few months receiving more attention for which Hollywood starlet he was dating (and yes, it's still Nicole Kidman), Lenny Kravitz returns on 5/18 with a new album, Baptism. New material is Lenny's first new collection of original songs since 2001's Lenny. The LP shows Kravitz saying so long to producers, session players, and other band members for that matter, as he takes credit for all of the writing, production, arrangements, and playing the majority of the instruments including bass, drums, and guitar. The first single, 'Where Are We Runnin''? hits radio at the end of March. The album also features a guest appearance by Jay-Z, who apparently is trying to fit in as many guest appearances as possible before his 'retirement'. Kravitz has announced a world tour in support of his new album, that will kick off in Holland (apparently lower Zimbabwe was booked) on 5/31. The tour will reach the US in August and is expected to continue through October. For concert dates and more information go to www.lennykravitz.com

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
