Torro Remote – Prog EP

Tracklist:

1. Prog 100

2. Prog 300

We at Dyami, want to make it our personal business to revive that genuine uplifting musical feeling.

It is with no surprise that we seized the opportunity to sign one of the industry's most prominent producer: Torro Remote.

Experimenting with music since the age of 14, it is with no doubt that this man is following the footsteps of his influences such as Trentmoller, Bookashade and his hero Eric Prydz.

His official breakthrough delivered us what James Zabiela found worthy of using as his legendary set opener 'Fight Club EP'.

He has now produced a series of Prog tunes: 100 & 300, that Dyami proudly signs in a two EP package.

Hernan Cattaneo, Argentina's wonder, has fervently supported Prog 100 by including it in his latest Essential Mix and charting it in February.

Prog 100 uplifts us with a marching beat, a softly rising and enduring groove with a melodic chord driving towards a recurrent bounce - giving us a steady uplifting setting a lovely musical mood.

Prog 300 starts with strings reminding a tone of Disco influences, softly elevating, hitting chords with a funky xylophone groove, revealing a soft appeal to consistent prog all while maintaining a twisted clap.

While awaiting a series of remixes, here are two mesmerizing tunes willing to set a genuine musical feeling for dancefloors.

Reactions:

Sasha “Really solid- will play”

Nick Warren “great music”

Sander Kleineneberg “Cool”

Eelke Kleijn“Cool stuff here! Sounds a bit like Prydz perhaps but if it works on the dance floor that doesn't matter too much ;)”

Kosmas Epsilon “both are very sweet!! i will play them the foloowing weekends, their sound is big.”

Darin Epsilon “Superb quality here. Loving both versions, although Torro 300 is the side that is blazing hot for me. Really one of the best techy melodic prog songs I've heard in a while. Outstanding work!”

Tom Morgan “Solid release, Prog 100 is the pick of the two for me”

Micah “well produced, sounds a bit like deadmau5 tho”

Anil Chawla “Prog 100 is very nice :-)”

Serge Devant “Excellent Tracks”

Frank Chiarello “100 is nasty! Great lead, nice quick moving bassline and strong kick. Love it as a transitioning track"

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
