Whether it’s edits / remixes of hip hop tracks (both old and new), or sizzling originals, Hood Politics has established itself as a one of the finest labels around, consistently delivering incredible music to fulfill our house appetite.

Label A&R Sherm has become a label favorite, and now his recent release sees him pairing up with yet another breakthrough artist Isaac Palmer for their addictive flip of the hit single “P**** & Millions” from Drake and Travis Scott.

They set the tone early with a rumbling bass line and punchy drum patterns. Sampling Drake & Scott’s voice with immense creativity, they build the track into one that serves not only as a peak time weapon for the clubs, but for the festival grounds as well.

“Cutting my teeth as a Chicago DJ has taught me so much about knowing when to move fast and shift the energy in sets. This edit can take you into the darkness from a light place or vice versa very quickly. Its underground sound and mainstream verses give any DJ the agility and ability to flex the energy while keeping the crowd engaged. Isaac and I had a shared vision to create a track that’s banger and will become a staple in a DJ’s set but also a “must hear” track for every fan.” – Sherm

Sherm is fresh off of his biggest performance yet of the year, dominating the Vega Stage at North Coast this past Labor Day Weekend. Check out the single below as well as a some footage from his live set here!

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
