Record Store Day

You know, I think this a great idea. On April 19th, independent record stores around the country are celebrating that day by doing things like throwing parties and offering goody bags. If at all possible I get my cd's at the local record shop...the staff is much more knowledgeable about music and they have a better environment overall. Plus it's a great way to support a local business.

I love hangin' out at Amoeba with friends. Most of the indie record stores, as opposed to the huge corporate entreprises, are owned by people who really love music - it's nice to see some of the small stores are still alive.
