Fresh off the heels of his latest studio album Drive, Tiësto is back with another new single, “Drifting.” While it’s not a full-on return to trance, this breakbeats inspired track should have fans raving as Tiësto definitely explores a more old school sound. The Dutch superstar first dropped the track back at Ultra Miami, and it has since become a staple in his sets.

The track opens with a drone like synth that rises in and out laid over the surprisingly affecting vocal. The drone synth serves as the basis for the drop as the aforementioned breakbeats perfectly blend together. If you’ve experienced this one live before, like I did at EDC Las Vegas, you know this one hits. In fact, the official video heavily features footage from Tiësto’s recent EDC performance.

Check out the latest from Tiësto, “Drifting”, out now on Musical Freedom. Tiësto will have upcoming summer residencies at Ushuaïa Ibiza and at Zouk and Ayu at Resorts World in Las Vegas.

Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
