Capri Everitt, the talented artist known for her millions of streams on YouTube and Spotify, over a million social media followers, and her remarkable feat of singing 80 national anthems in 80 countries to raise funds for SOS Children’s Villages, has achieved a significant milestone in her
career. Her latest single, “Wonder,” has broken into the top 100 of the pop charts, capturing the attention of major record labels.
“Wonder” is far from your average pop song. It combines infectious melodies, danceable beats, and thought-provoking lyrics that resonate with young people, particularly in the digital age where scrolling through social media can leave one questioning their own self-worth. Capri, speaking about the inspiration behind the song, shares her personal struggles with comparison, a common issue faced by many in her generation who are constantly exposed to carefully curated and altered versions of reality on platforms like Instagram. Capri had the privilege of collaborating with renowned producer and composer Philip Cornish on “Wonder.” Cornish, a multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning producer, has an impressive track record working with A-list artists such as Kanye West, Demi Lovato, Diddy, and Usher. Additionally, Capri teamed up with award-winning producer and co-writer Jae Deal and the exceptionally talented lyricist and co-writer Hamzaa from London, UK, further adding to the song’s artistic prowess.

The music video for “Wonder” is a visually stunning and impactful piece of art. Capri takes on the roles of three different characters, each representing individuals who, despite their outward appearances, share common struggles. Set in the backdrop of a teenage kickback, the video follows a shy, reserved girl and her confident, popular blonde best friend, along with Capri’s portrayal of her most authentic self. Each character grapples with unique issues, all revolving around the question of who has a better life. The resolution to this captivating storyline is left for viewers to discover. With its vintage 70s-inspired feel, the music video was shot at a vibrant and colorful location, perfectly complementing the theme of the song. The saturated visuals and energetic
dance/performance shots create an engaging and enjoyable viewing experience for audiences, whether they choose to dance along or simply sit back and appreciate the artistry.

Capri’s breakthrough into the top 100 on the charts has caught the attention of major record labels, who are now closely watching her promising career. With a massive following, viral videos, undeniable talent in singing, dancing, and an appealing image, Capri possesses all the qualities that labels seek in a potential superstar. The future holds immense potential for her, with the possibility of touring alongside artists like Ariana Grande and Christina Aguilera. As fans eagerly await Capri’s future releases, it is evident that she is not just an artist making waves in the music industry, but also an individual committed to making a positive impact. From her charitable efforts to her captivating storytelling through music, Capri has proven herself to be an artist who possesses both talent and a genuine desire to make a difference in the world.

The breakthrough success of “Wonder” is only the beginning of what promises to be a remarkable journey for Capri.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
