"Philip Burnett Franklin Agee (July 19, 1935 – January 7, 2008 was a former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) employee and author who wrote the book, Inside the Company: CIA Diary (1975), detailing his experiences in the CIA. Agee joined the CIA in 1957 and worked as a case officer with postings in Washington, D.C., Ecuador, Uruguay, and Mexico. After leaving the service in 1968 he (like John Stockwell) became a leading opponent of CIA practices. He resigned from the CIA in 1968. From the early 1970s, he became the most visible opponent of CIA practices. He died in Cuba in January 2008."
