VOTES COME FROM 106 COUNTRIES!

The 3rd Annual Trance Awards powered by Trackitdown.net have got off to an unprecedented start. Thousands of trance music fanatics from a staggering 106 countries have made their mark! Awards promoter Nolan Shadbolt states ‘the response has been phenomenal, whoever says dance music is in the doldrums right now clearly hasn’t factored in the global reach of trance culture’.

The Trance Awards is a celebration of the biggest and the best in the world of trance from the past 12 months. Featuring 13 categories voted for by the public via online portal Trance Awards, the 3RD Annual Trance Awards Powered by Trackitdown.net is set to be the biggest date on the global trance calendar.

All eyes are now on the Trance Awards event and ceremony which is happening at legendary UK institution Passion on Saturday 22nd December. What better weekend that this to celebrate the scene that clearly so many clubbers are passionate about!

Previously the awards have been hosted by international super-clubs Gods Kitchen and Slinky and this year the stakes are raised by one of the most influential promoters in the decade history of the scene; DJ JFK. Pulling out all the stops, the awards will be presented by Judge Jules, Radio One DJ and man responsible for breaking more trance anthems than anyone.

He will be performing alongside key players who in the past have included such luminaries as; Sander Van Doorn, Gareth Emery, Marcel Woods, Graham Gold and Nu NRG. This year the line-up includes superstar DJ/producers; Simon Paterson, JFK, John 00 Fleming, Matt Hardwick and more...

The UK’s leading dance download store, Trackitdown.net has once again revamped the Trance Awards website to create a fresh vibe in another storming year for the scene. Alongside the voting, the team have enlisted leading key figures from the worlds of production, performance and promotion to tell visitors their ‘Trance HiStory’ – how they caught the bug and what the music means to them. This will feature together with their charts showing the world what anthems made an impact over the last twelve months and other resource driven content.

Vote closes on Sunday 9th December so if you haven’t already – make yourself heard!

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
