ledzeppelin.jpgLed Zeppelin are set to reform for a date at the o2 Arena later this year - according to package concert advertisements posted in the press.

Although there has been no official announcement, it seems companies behind coach, concert and hotel packages have let slip.

Set for autumn, there’s not even any official dates, but Premier Entertainment is offering a package of a four star hotel and concert ticket for £269. At the top end of the scale, one company is charging £369.

Speculation has been rife in recent months that the legendary British rockers would get it back together. In June, it was thought they would be getting back together for a reunion show in honour of their former record boss, only for Robert Plant to rubbish the reports.

If the adverts are true, the Led Zeppelin reformation will be the most hotly anticipated reunion in years. Expect tickets to go for a small fortune on eBay.

The last time the three surviving members - John Paul Jones, Robert Plant and Jimmy Page - played together was at the Live Aid Concert in Philadelphia in 1985. However, it was alongside the dire Phil Collins.

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
