Based in the hidden hills of Valinhos, 100 kilometers from São Paulo City, the #12 club in the world, Laroc, opened its door once again last Saturday (May 7th, 2022) to accommodate over 5.000 people in a night that was 100% sold out.
Once again cementing Laroc’s unmatched success as one of the biggest landmarks of the global EDM scene, the club invited the DJ Mag #4 DJ in the world, Alok, alongside a supporting lineup packed with a fresh combination of established hitmakers like Santti and young rising stars like Almanac and Kohen.
To rise even higher on DJ Mag’s prestigious Top 100 lists is a common goal of Laroc and Alok, making this event a partnership made in heaven. Both the artist and the club did everything in their power to craft a memorable night that will undoubtedly create a lasting impact on every single attendee.

Laroc is arguably one of the most incredible clubs to ever debut in the global dance music scene. Not because it has the most capacity, or the largest stage, but because Laroc’s team is able to combine the energy of a huge festival with the intimacy of clubs into each experience, making up for a unique vibe that’s hard to find elsewhere.

The 7-year-old club is on the brink of breaking into the Top 10 of DJ MAG Top 100 Clubs rank, and it doesn’t shy away from the pressure. Laroc recently announced that they will be the exclusive venue for Hardwell’s comeback tour for his brand new album ‘Rebels Never Die;’ an event that has the potential to be one of the biggest nights in the club’s history.
We had the opportunity to speak with Thiago Grazioli, Laroc’s Artists Director. Check out what he had to say about Alok, Laroc and Hardwell:
“It was a very important night for Laroc, to welcome Alok once again, this time as the 4# DJ in the World was indeed incredible. The night was a complete success: a full house with over 5 thousand people that got together to experience a generational talent that is Alok. It was very interesting to see how creative and precise Alok has become when it comes to conducting his set,
not to mention the incredible production team behind his performance, a truly breathtaking experience. And that’s exactly what we expect for such a big act.”
“It is absolutely essential that we have Hardwell for his comeback tour at Laroc. Hardwell’s evolution resonates deeply with Laroc, and seeing how his set at Ultra Miami sounded like, we just knew that we had to bring that energy to Brazil. It is not easy to make such a big transition from what he used to play to what he is doing at the moment, and it is incredible to see Hardwell exploring new things. Surely, this transition will be a milestone to his career and for the whole EDM scene.” – Thiago Grazioli, Laroc’s Artist Director

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
