TL;DR: The Dissim inverted lighter is just $31.99 at the Mashable Shop with code CYBER20 as of Dec. 30.

Nothing's more annoying than buying those long-stem lighters over and over again because you're too afraid to burn yourself when lighting a candle. It's a total waste of plastic to do it over and over again, not to mention a big waste of money. That's why this Kickstarter-funded lighter solved the problems of typical lighters — and even did it by being mindful of the environment in the process. And now for a limited time, you can take an additional 20% off at checkout. All you have to do is enter code CYBER20 to secure the deal.

Featured on Hypebeast, Uncrate, Everyday Carry, and others, the Dissim inverted lighter has solved all of the struggles you face with typical lighters. For starters, it lights anything that needs to be inverted with ease, like candles or pipes. Are you flashing back to the trauma of burning your thumb while lighting your favorite candle? Come back to reality because there's a new solution that ensures you never have to feel that ever again.

This patent-pending lighter has a built-in finger hole that creates an ergonomic, sturdy grip on the flame. Plus, the angled flame port allows you to completely turn the lighter upside down to get the light without ever burning your finger. The lighter only emits enough flame necessary to light something, so it'll never get overheated or grow larger than you expect it to.

Normally the Dissim inverted lighter retails for $48, since it's the only lighter you'll ever have to buy for the rest of your life, and is easily refillable with standard butane. But now, when you enter code CYBER20 at checkout, you'll shave 20% off of the regular price. That means you'll take it home for just $31.99.

Prices subject to change.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
