GRAB A LAST-MINUTE GIFT FOR A GAMER: You can shop the PlayStation Store's massive Holiday Sale now through Jan. 19 for hundreds of deals on popular PS4 and PS5 titles. More games will be added to the sale on Jan. 5, so be sure to check back.

Doing some eleventh-hour gifting, are we? Conveniently, so is the PlayStation Store.

Sony's online shop kicked off its very last-minute Holiday Sale on Wednesday, Dec. 22, with steep savings on new PlayStation 5 titles and PS4 classics alike. Several titles from Mashable's Best Video Games of 2021 roundup have even made the list, with Deathloop, Life is Strange: True Colors, Riders Republic, and Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy all enjoying some rare discounts of up to 50% off.

The promotion features hundreds of titles altogether, and they're all digital editions that make for easy presents (i.e., you don't have to spend the days leading up to Christmas desperately hoping that something ships on time — they're downloaded directly through a console). Plus, anyone who's postponed an annual gift exchange or holiday party can take their pick from even more games when the sale expands its inventory on Jan. 5; you'll have until Jan. 19 before it finally wraps.

Head over to the PlayStation Store to peruse the sale's entire lineup, or simply keep scrolling to check out our must-play picks (listed in alphabetical order):

Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
